Why Visualizations help?
Visualizations help understand Situational Intelligence. Airspace incidents are very complex events. Making real-time decisions and navigating in a 4 Dimensional Geo-Spatial setting is not easy. It is tough to truly recognize and understand decision making without all visual elements in play. Visualizations help recognize all factors that were instrumental. In its absence, we risk making incorrect conclusions. There are too many factors to put on a flat piece of paper. Incident Visualization:

Are great for real world training and preparedness
Help in anomaly detection
Identify unknown patterns or procedural flaws that can reduce future incidents

Hypothetical Use cases
While Go Arounds are normal and a safe maneuver, they cause unneeded stress and waste of fuel. By reducing the number of causes for Go Arounds we save on both. By analyzing visualizations (including analytics related to other aircrafts in vicinity, time of day, month etc.) the Tower may tweak its Ground Control (including Hold positions) and Tower procedures. Alternatively, a planner may recommend changing the Taxiway and Runway pathways or intersections or traffic Hold positions.
What Can We Do to Help?
- Our team will be happy to generate videos. All we need is location (approx. Latitude or longitude) and date and time. Or conversely, tail# and date and time. General turn around time is less than 4 to 8 business hours.
- We can generate such videos with any (user specified) camera angles for the same incident. With or without weather.
- Our underlying data set consists of flying history (and thereby it’s correlation) of flying objects that have ADS-B or MLAT enabled Flying Objects and Drones (drone data is in select geolocations. Click here for Drone coverage area).
